allman brothers & widespread panic tour!!!

i got some GREAT news yesterday afternoon! the allman brothers will be touring with widespread panic this fall. there are several dates in the south...in fact, two in tennessee! i was a little disappointed when i realized they were mid-week but then i looked and my calendar and guess what?? the raleigh>knoxville>nashville shows are during my fall break!!! PERFECT!!

countdown to chi-town get down...

this week will go by pretty slow, i'm sure. i still have remnants of a migraine from friday night...fun, fun! other than than i'm work, work, working this week and heading to chicago this weekend for brian's birthday party. i'm so excited to celebrate another close friend's birthday...especially this one...the big 3-0!! there are about 10 of us flying in for the occasion. we have dinner reservations at rosebud on friday night and the actual birthday party will be saturday night. i absolutely love chicago and haven't been there since 2006 so i'm pumped to go back! BRING ON CHICAGO!

so, it is. i've joined the rest of the world in blogging. i can't quite believe it myself but i'm going to give it a shot.

i've scanned over lots of people's blogs from home and it seems that most of them write about their families...kids, husbands, etc...
since most of you know that's not where i'm at in my journey in life at this point so, i'll be writing about that the things that make me happy...traveling, music, family, & friends.

last month (v-day weekend) i went to colorado to celebrate my friend robin's birthday. to celebrate we saw gov't mule at the fillmore in denver and at dobson arena in vail. the weekend was amazing!! i got to see a ton of my friends that i haven't seen since october and robin had the most fantastic birthday ever!!
