the big 2-9

so, it's been a few weeks, huh? i've been staying busy and dealing with all the craziness in my world. easter came and went...guess who won the family easter egg hunt??
there has been major tragedy but i don't think the internet is a place to discuss such things so i'll leave it at this...my heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to the families that are going through these awful times.

i went to orange beach to see panic at the wharf for three nights. the weather was not great for the beach but perfect for the shows. i'll write more about the orange beach trip later.
let's see...what else? birthday came and went. i have one year left of my fabulous 20's...better make the best of it!! i'm sure i won't have any problem doing that! for my birthday i went to nashville on friday night. tara and i went to dinner at south street (yummy!) and went to the basement to see jerry joseph afterwards. the show was great! he covered "come together", which was really strange and even rapped "paradise city" at one point.

"no one said it was gonna be easy..."

ahhhhh, chicago was an absolute blast. i got there on friday afternoon around 4:30. traffic was HORRIBLE, of course, so i took the el (blue line) to brian's (b-day boy) place. friday night we stayed in and waited on others to get into town. r&b got in town pretty early on saturday so we started the day off right...cocktails on the porch. dinner was amazing. there were 20-25ppl there and plenty of vino to go around. we crushed a dance party at moonshine bar afterwards. my friend stephen from college who i haven't seen in 3-4 years made it out. it was GREAT to see him. he's lived in chicago for a few years now and i havent' seen him in ages. it was great catching up with him! sunday was FREEZING...also snowing!!! i wasn't able to get on my flight and neither were r&b so....what else to do but extreme piling....we ordered thai, drank vino, and watched eastbound & down re-runs...pretty solid sunday night!

reunion with stephen.

the birthday boy!

april fools' day.

april fools' day, sometimes called all fools' day, is one of the most light hearted days of the year. it's origins are uncertain. some see it as a celebration related to the turn of the seasons, while others believe it stems from the adoption of a new calendar. april fools' day is observed throughout the western world. practices include sending someone on a "fool's errand," looking for things that don't exist, playing pranks, and trying to get people to believe ridiculous things. taken from http://www.infoplease.com/spot/aprilfools1.html .
*******************************************************************
i am not a very good prankster myself, but i do remember a couple of things i used to do when i was in college. we used to tape money to the ground and go up to the roof in the building above the sidewalk and watch people try and pick up the money...hilarious. another thing we would do from that roof is call the pay phone across the street when someone would walk by it. we would let them know that we could see them by describing something they were wearing or the movements they were making. they couldn't see us from where we were on the roof....got them every time!!
